Performance, Charging, and Capabilities

The 2025 F-150 Lightning is powered by two electric motors—one at each axle. With its 131-kWh extended-range battery, FLASH and Lariat models achieve a range of up to 320 miles. It also features serious pulling power—rated at 775 lb-ft of torque. With standard four-wheel drive, there is a rear eLocking axle that helps increase traction where it needs it the most. 

You also have options when it comes to charging up your 2025 F-150 Lightning. You can enable a Level 2 charger that can be installed at home. You can also plug it in wherever you are – including using the Blue Oval Charge Network with 35,000 charging locations across the country. Your 2025 F-150 Lightning also has access to 15,000 Tesla Supercharger stations. Using a 150-plus kW DC Fast Charger, it can go from 15%-80% battery in 38 minutes with the extended range battery. A Vapor Injection Heat Pump is also standard on all 2025 F-150 Lightning models to help keep your batteries from freezing over and preserve range. 

When it comes to towing, the 2025 F-150 Lightning is rated to 10,000 pounds when equipped with the Max Trailer Tow Package. Depending on model and battery type, tow ratings range from 5,000 to 8,500 pounds. Payload ratings range from 1,656 to 2,235 pounds, also depending on the model. 

Exterior

Capability lends itself to capacity and practicality. Our innovative front trunk opens right to the bumper. Inside, there are 14.1 cubic feet of secure and unseen storage. This is part of our SuperCrew cab, with a Styleside 5.5-foot box. Twenty-inch wheels are standard on the XL model. 

The way to distinguish a Lightning from other 2025 F-150 models is its LED signature lighting that stretches across the front of the truck. LED Zone Lighting also assists you in making sure you can get the illumination you need at night. 

For those times when you need to do some work, Pro Power Onboard is available to plug in your tools, equipment, or lights for the camping site. Standard is a 2.4-kW unit, which you can upgrade to a 9.6-kW system that can run 220-240-volt items. 

Interior 

Inside, you have space for five people to ride comfortably and quietly. There is a modern cabin that offers everything you will find inside of the 2025 F-150 Lightning. That includes a digital information center and a retractable gear lever. Once the gear lever is lowered, you can fold the center console cover into an Interior Work Surface to increase your productivity, or use it as a lunch table. 

You can also experience excellent sound through the available 8-speaker B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen. A 14-speaker system is available on the Platinum model. All audio and climate functions are based on the large 15-inch touchscreen driven by SYNC 4A. 

Technology

The nerve center of the 2025 F-150 Lightning is the 15-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. On Lariat and Platinum models, you can access your 2025 F-150 Lightning through an app on your smartphone device. Software updates are downloaded from a cloud-connected platform to keep your vehicle up to date. 

Wherever you are, you can keep tabs on your 2025 F-150 Lightning from the FordPass Connect app on your smartphone. The app enables remote features, such as Start/Stop, Lock/Unlock, Schedule Start, Locate Vehicle, and Vehicle Status Check. The app is also connected to the Blue Oval Charging Network to find the nearest charging station while you are away from home. 

Safety

You also have Ford BlueCruise 1.2, our innovative hands-free driving system at your fingertips. The system will warn you when you need to take control of your vehicle. You get a 90-day trial standard, with a 3-year plan available. 

Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 and Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 driver assistance suites are available. This suite includes features, such as a Lane-Keeping System, Evasive Steering Assist, Hill Descent Control, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. When equipped with a towing package, Co-Pilot360 Assist will include Pro Trailer Backup Assist. 

Other standard safety equipment include AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control (RSC), BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow Coverage, Curve Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). 

Plus, all 2025 F-150 Lightning models receive a 360-degree camera. That helps ensure you can maneuver your pickup truck into parking spaces easily.
