Five Cool Things About the 2025 Ford Expedition

The next generation 2025 Ford Expedition is coming soon to Dick Smith Ford of Columbia. In a field where families really measure how much SUV they want, the 2025 Expedition will deliver more innovations and choices you may be looking for.
Recently, The Detroit News got a good look at the upcoming flagship SUV from Ford. They found five really cool things you will appreciate when you first see the 2025 Expedition. Some of these things may change how you look at a large SUV for your family. Especially families that live big lives.
Driver Assistance Updated
The first item you will appreciate is a brand-new instrument panel design called the Ford Digital Experience. The new instrument panel makes the 2025 Expedition a one-of-a-kind family command center. Immediately, you will notice the new 24-inch panoramic digital display, which replaces a traditional gauge cluster. Unlike other vehicles in its class, the panoramic display is positioned near the lower edge of the windshield to help keep drivers looking at the road ahead. This enables sight lines over the steering wheel – not through it as seen on similar vehicles. In addition, the 2025 Expedition provides easy connectivity to internet services, along with access to Google Play apps, Google Maps, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration.
A growing number of Ford vehicles offer the Blue Cruise hands-free highway driving system. The 2025 Expedition will get this feature on Platinum, King Ranch, Tremor, and Active models. The goal at Ford is to provide hands-free highway driving to around 90% of all 2025 Expedition customers.
Where Do We Put All This Stuff?
The Flex Powered Console has now solved the challenge of making it easier to store the items you bring with you in the first and second rows. With the press of a button, a driver can easily slide the newly available Flex Powered Console back nearly eight inches, opening a secure place in front to store a bag, purse, or other valuables. At the same time, second-row passengers have easier access to a console with audio and climate controls, along with cupholders.
Expedition Can Haul It
Another challenge for SUV owners is ensuring that long items can be hauled around without compromising comfort. The answer is the newly available Third-Row Flexible Seating. The middle of the rear bench seat folds down independently to open a long center aisle that extends from the Split Gate clear to the front center console to help customers manage their cargo and people-moving needs.
Load It Up
Speaking of the Ford Split Gate, it makes loading into the rear cargo area easier. It also creates a hangout space with reconfigurable cargo management, transforming the rear area into a table or stadium seating. Perfect for tailgates! Plus, the sliding front center console adds easy storage access for the front and second rows.
Feeling Tremors
We mentioned the 2025 Ford Expedition Tremor a few times here. It is now part of the lineup as the most off-road capable Expedition ever. The 2025 Tremor model comes standard with four-wheel drive, underbody shielding, 33-inch all-terrain tires, best-in-class ground clearance, electronic locking rear differential, and advanced off-road technology.
The 2025 Ford Expedition updates will be worth the wait, and we can’t wait to see them in person early next year. Contact us at Dick Smith Ford of Columbia to register your interest in this newly advanced large SUV for your family.
