Introducing the 2025 Ford F-150 Lobo

The word “lobo” means wolf in Spanish. At Ford, the word Lobo means street performance. You’ve already seen it in the 2025 Maverick with its lower stance and sporty look. Now, you can add another Ford truck that will wear that name loudly and proudly.
Therefore, the 2025 F-150 will add a Lobo package. It marks the return of a full-sized performance-oriented street pickup truck. We remember the SVT Lightning from the 1990s. This is the spiritual successor to that iconic vehicle.
Car and Driver gave us a preview of this upcoming 2025 F-150 Lobo package. Based on the F-150 STX SuperCrew, with the 5.5-foot bed, they pointed out how the new street performance truck will have a lowered rear ride height by two inches. A ten-piece body kit creates an appearance package that offers an assertive look, adding to the lowered ride height. A set of 22-inch black-painted wheels riding on a set of Bridgestone Alenza all-season tires.
On the hood, there is a cowl with two vents – something we only see on modern muscle cars. A new specific black mesh-like grille is also featured with additional LED lightning signatures that connect to the headlamp units. Body-color bumpers and black badging finish out the Lobo appearance package.

Inside, the 2025 F-150 Lobo will have cloth seats with contrasting yellow stitching. Leather wraps the center console, and a “racy-looking material” will cover the dashboard. Expect the same digital gauge cluster and 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen found on other F-150 models.
The 2025 F-150 Lobo will be powered by a 400-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 with 410 pound-feet of torque. All F-150 Lobo models come with four-wheel drive and a two-speed transfer case. It is also equipped with a dual exhaust system with black barrel-like tips. While it offers pure V8 performance, it also delivers a maximum payload of 1,450 pounds and a maximum tow rating of 7,900 pounds.
The 2025 F-150 Lobo comes in five exterior colors: Agate Black Metallic, Atlas Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray, Oxford White, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Pricing starts with an MSRP of $59,995.

As Car and Driver sums this up: “the F-150 has lacked a model that prioritizes performance on the street—until now.” It may have taken a few decades, but the streets of our state capitol are ready for the rumble of V8 performance with a cool stance again. The 2025 F-150 Lobo will come hungry and ready to strike – just like a wolf.
