Ford Power Promise F-150 Lightning Charging at HomeFord is introducing the Ford Power Promise. In the words of Ford’s CEO Jim Farley, this program is based on the principles of “convenience, peace of mind, and expert service.”

Farley reflected upon the new Ford Power Promise. He understood the need for EV owners to receive more than rebates and incentives to buy or purchase an EV. They simply want more. EV owners wish for their experience to be effortless in their everyday lives.

The Ford Power Promise starts when customers buy or lease a Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or an E-Transit. They receive a complimentary home charger either from the dealer or shipped directly to them. When customers are available, an expert will install the home charger at no cost as long as it is a standard installation. For Ford Pro fleet customers, a commercial charging cash incentive is provided.

Ford Power Promise Ford Charging Station at HomeWhen you are away from home, the BlueOval Charge Network will automatically search for chargers across various networks. These will include Electrify America charging stations and Tesla Superchargers. As you travel onward, the Connected Navigation system in your vehicle will add charging stops to your route. You can pay for your charging sessions through the Plug and Charge feature from your FordPass account.

The key to your EV is the battery pack. Ford is committed to making sure that the battery pack is of the highest quality and durability for use in your vehicle. That is why every Ford electric vehicle is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty.

Sometimes, you need support for your vehicle and charging device. Ford has you covered with complimentary roadside assistance if your vehicle’s range runs too low. Not only that, Ford is also expanding its electric vehicle support by including the ability to talk or text with real customer support individuals.

Why is Ford doing all of this? As the company anticipates future growth and acceptance of electric vehicles, owners need a way to get the best services and support they can receive.
